Acceleration-Insensitive Pressure Sensor for Aerodynamic Analysis

چکیده

This paper presents a method for preparing pressure sensor that is insensitive to acceleration along with experimental evidence of its efficacy in aerodynamic analysis. A literature review and preliminary studies revealed the undesirable effect on sensors are located moving elements, as evidenced by deviations from actual values piezoresistive made using MEMS technology. To address this, authors developed double-membrane geometry eliminated this imperfection; implementing two solo new geometry-designed was also proposed. Experimental tests suggested solution were conducted; these measurements presented here. The results indicated concept could be used measure dynamic pressures rotating objects order obtain measurement more reliable closer true derived analyses. published confirm reliability proposed device.

A transparent bending-insensitive pressure sensor.

Measuring small normal pressures is essential to accurately evaluate external stimuli in curvilinear and dynamic surfaces such as natural tissues. Usually, sensitive and spatially accurate pressure sensors are achieved through conformal contact with the surface; however, this also makes them sensitive to mechanical deformation (bending). Indeed, when a soft object is pressed by another soft obj...

Acceleration insensitive encapsulated silicon microresonator

This paper presents the acceleration sensitivity and the resulting vibration-induced phase noise of an electrostatically coupled encapsulated silicon microresonator. External vibrations can produce phase noise in microresonators by generating time-varying stress in the resonant beams. A spring mounted resonator design that reduces the induced axial stress is presented here. Measurements and sim...

Acceleration sensor measurements of subglottal sound pressure for modal and breathy phonation quality

We present a non-invasive attempt to indirectly measure the subglottal sound pressure. This quantity opens an additional acoustical path to observe the voiced sound source. The subglottal sound pressure contours of two phonation qualities, the modal phonation quality and the breathy phonation quality, are compared. The electroglottographic signal was recorded simultaneously as a well known refe...

New Design of Mems piezoresistive pressure sensor

The electromechanical analysis of a piezoresistive pressure microsensor with a square-shaped diaphragm for low-pressure biomedical applications is presented. This analysis is developed through a novel model and a finite element method (FEM) model. A microsensor with a diaphragm 1000 „m length and with thickness=400 µm is studied. The electric response of this microsensor is obtained with applyi...

Solving for pressure : acceleration and accuracy

Meso and large scale models tend nowadays to be non-hydrostatic. Time step restrictions due to fast waves are alleviated by considering semi-implicit schemes (Thomas et al, 2003) or by use of the anelastic approximation (Meso-NH model, Lafore et al, 1998, or Clark, 1977 among others); in both cases an elliptic equation has to be solved. This equation is typically ill conditioned, due to the ran...
